FAQ
How does it work?
- Patrons receive a pair of wireless headphones on entry to the venue
- 2 x DJs do their thing at the same time
- Patrons select channel/DJ of choice at the flick of a switch on their headset
- Patrons cut shapes!
Is it completely Silent?
The venue PA system will be off and the only music will be coming through the headphones… However when the event is in full swing and sing-a-long classics such as Kings of Leon ‘Sex on Fire’ are being unleashed everyone will be in full voice, adding to this surreal experience and creating ambient noise in the venue.
Why two DJs?
Watching a roomful of clubbers singing and dancing along to different songs at the same time is a good enough reason alone, but offering two DJ’s only heightens the experience for both the patron and the event organiser. As a patron you can continuously choose to select songs or a DJ of their preference, while the option of two genres of music to the event organiser opens larger markets to promote to.
What does Silent Social provide?
Silent Social will bring the requested quantity of wireless headphones, all cables, connectors, wireless transmitter,
2 x experienced DJ’s, tour manager, headphone distribution staff, stage/venue branding and delivery of a great event.
What do we need to supply?
The only support that might be required is some volunteers/staff to help out with the distribution of the headphones for bigger events…..other than that everything is taken care off
Do patrons need to supply a deposit for headphones?
It is our preference not to take a deposit, but you will need to have strict system in place to prevent the loss or damage of headphones. This will be discussed in advance of the booking.
Can Silent Social be used as a standalone event?
Silent Social is guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser and our residency nights are the perfect example that Silent Social can be enjoyed as the main event where we can cater up to 2000 people. Equally Silent Social works really well complementing larger events where you have various areas/arenas… but be prepared for people to head straight to us. It is also ideal where noise can be an issue especially in the early hours, although everyone will be in full voice you do remove the problem of travelling sound from amplified music.
